The NISSIN Preparation Plate has been developed for basic cavity preparation and training in the proper handling of handpieces during the early stages of preclinical education. It is ideal for developing fine motor skills in dental students and offers excellent opportunities for objective assessment of acquired competencies.

The multilayered structure simulates enamel, dentin, and pulp with varying hardness and color, allowing for both tactile and visual feedback on the amount of material removed and surface quality.

In an international study involving instructors from 14 dental schools, the plate received high ratings for drilling response, surface texture, and ergonomic visibility.

The plate can be used both for bench exercises and mounted in existing phantom head systems, providing a flexible and realistic training setup.
