A 4-stage model visualizing how a tooth with deep caries and apical periodontitis is first cleaned and root filled and - after healing - restored with a root post and crown

The base of the model is transparent to show the gradual healing of the apical cyst.

On the 4th tooth, the tooth and crown can be lifted off.

The model can be used in conjunction with the patient's X-ray and intraoral photographs to thoroughly inform the patient of the situation and treatment options.
