Short about the course

Hands-on course

Oral surgery and trauma occupy a large part of most dental clinics. Every day, teeth are removed, surgical root fillings are performed, mucosal changes are removed, cysts are removed and implants are inserted, etc., but also acute dental trauma with mucosal lacerations are performed.

A good suturing technique is essential to ensure optimal healing, minimize postoperative discomfort, ensure a good aesthetic result and finally reduce the operation time.

Morten Højte Dahl will present the most important considerations regarding suturing and suturing techniques that are performed in a general dental practice. Materials, suture thickness and needle selection will be reviewed so that the participant will be able to choose the right suture for the individual treatment. The course will focus on a clinical approach, where the course participant will try the different suturing techniques on different models. All participants will receive their suturing block to take home so that they can continue the training at their leisure.
