Short about the course

With Dentist Jacob Slavensky
"In collaboration with the Dental Institute, I have created a new edition of my cofferdam course, and in this edition there are practical hands-on exercises on phantoms.

The course is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part with hands-on exercises on phantoms.
The course covers the necessary instruments, such as the cofferdam cloth, forceps, clamps and supplementary aids. Relevant clinical situations will be reviewed and illustrated through photos and videos. There will be a focus on special challenges and how to handle them, including matrix systems and cementation.

For the practical exercises, we will practice the construction of cofferdams in different situations: approximal fillings, cervical fillings, root canal treatment, cementation, practicing the use of floss ties, secondary clasps and much more."

DKK 8,500 incl. VAT, catering and materials.

A 40% discount on the course fee is offered to collaborating dental assistants attending with a dentist from the same clinic. However, due to the extensive and costly use of materials included in the course, it is necessary that you work together on the same phantom head and share equipment and materials during the training.

Cofferdams can be a great help in many situations. The purpose of using cofferdams is to create a good working area. There may be a need for the most aseptic conditions possible, there may be a need for drying, there may be a long-term treatment where the working area must be undisturbed, there may be a patient who has difficulty tolerating the water from drilling machines, etc. etc. The quality of what we do depends on the number of compromises we have to make along the way.

In addition to the reasons mentioned, the use of cofferdams can help to lower the stress level of the practitioner and provide the opportunity to focus on the current task without having to worry about all the disturbing elements that may be in the mouth. In this way, we can avoid having to make quite so many compromises along the way.

Making cofferdams a natural part of our daily work requires practice and patience, just like all other new techniques we have to learn and train our colleagues in.

After the course, participants will gain access to a closed Facebook group with more videos, cases, tips and tricks, as well as a recording of the original theoretical course.
