A clinically relevant 2-day hands-on course with Peter Weyergang & Malte Heinrich

Short about the course

In this 2-day hands-on course, we focus on optimising the process of placing large posterior composite restorations in a systematic, more predictable way — with greater calm and confidence in everyday clinical practice.

We will work with deep restorations, cracks, contact points, rubber dam, matrix selection, Bioclear and the wedge-less strategy, bonding, morphology, cusp replacements and composite crowns.

You will gain specific protocols, practical training and the opportunity to work with high-end materials and techniques. The aim is not for you to change everything on Monday morning. The aim is for you to get more out of what you already have — while also gaining a clear understanding of which techniques, materials and workflows can genuinely elevate your composite treatments.

Lecturers

We have two extremely dedicated lecturers on this course. Malte Heinrich and Peter Weyergang know each other from dental school, and they share a passion for professional development and optimisation in all their clinical protocols.

Dentist Malte Heinrich

Restorative dentist at Aarhus Tandcenter with a focus on minimally invasive, adhesive-based treatments. He regularly teaches courses for dentists on topics such as contact points and rubber dam, and has presented at the Annual Meeting of the Danish Dental Association. Internationally, he teaches the Bioclear method.

Dentist Peter Weyergang

Partner at Tandlægehuset Bramming with a focus on occlusal function and larger restorative treatments. Peter graduated from Aarhus School of Dentistry in 2016 and is a highly rated lecturer at Dentalinstituttet. He works to make complex treatments more systematic, understandable and applicable in a busy clinical everyday setting. His teaching is based on specific protocols, clinical images and the decisions that determine whether a treatment becomes predictable and efficient.

Target group

The course is intended for dentists.

The course is limited to a maximum of 20 participants and is taught by two lecturers. The hands-on exercises are guided by thorough instruction as well as high-quality clinical images and video material.

Important Information Once You Are Registered

Please remember to bring your own loupes. We recommend that you already now plan two larger molar restorations in the week following the course. If possible, allow approximately 30 extra minutes per treatment and preferably schedule them in the morning. This way, you will quickly put what you have learned into clinical practice while the techniques are still fresh in your hands.

Learning Objectives

In this course, you will gain new inspiration and specific techniques for:

  • Simple approaches to translating new techniques into fixed clinical protocols for molar restorations.

  • Greater awareness of workflows, behaviour, job satisfaction and work-related stress.

  • Increased confidence in assessing indications, deep restorations, weakened cusps, biomechanics and cracks.

  • Hands-on training with clinical guidance in preparations for composite.

  • Refreshed knowledge of cusp replacement, contact points, isolation, matrix selection, wedge strategy, morphology and anatomy.

  • A deeper understanding of bonding, resin coating, biomechanics, flow, paste and fibre-reinforced materials.

  • Getting more out of your existing equipment — while expanding your clinical toolbox.

  • Practical advice on implementation and clinical routines, so that what you learn does not remain merely inspiration, but becomes something you actually use back at the clinic.

The overall aim of the course is to give you greater clinical confidence, more job satisfaction and fewer complications for your patients.
