This is the course where dental hygienists and dental assistants gain a thorough understanding of all steps in the fabrication of composite fillings. Including impurities, occlusal class I fillings in molars and premolars, as well as repairs of a broken anterior corner. 
 

Practical 

The teachers

Dentists Stine Martoft and Anita Degn Larsson are both clinical teachers at the Department of Cariology and Endodontics at the School of Dentistry in Copenhagen - and they both have extensive experience as dentists in private practice for 30 years. They are highly skilled, conscientious, detail-oriented and professionally passionate.

Participants in a course with this duo can expect thoroughness, efficiency, smiles, humor and down-to-earth practical guidance.

Instruments and materials
All students are provided with high-quality phantom heads, dental models and materials.

N.B. Please bring your own composite instruments so that you can practice with exactly the instruments you have available on a daily basis. Remember your glasses if you usually work with glasses.

Course hours
You will receive a certificate of 7 non-commercial hours at the end of the course. 

 

The aim of the course is that the participants will be able to make these smaller already prepared or preparation-free composite fillings under delegated instruction from the responsible dentist. 

If the dentist does not wish to delegate the task, it will still be an advantage in a busy clinical environment for the dental assistant and dental hygienist to gain an increased practical understanding of the workflow and materials.

  • Etching - including separate differential etching of dentin and enamel and self-etching bonding materials
